QuickBooks, inside Claude and ChatGPT.

Say what you need in plain words. Your assistant does it in QuickBooks.

Which invoices are overdue? Politely chase the ones past 30 days.

Three invoices are overdue, totalling $9,542.95:

Harbor Bakery$2,450.0032 d
Lakeside Dental$4,892.9545 d
Northgate Fabrication$2,200.0061 d

I drafted a reminder tuned to each one: courteous for the first two, firmer for Northgate (61 days). Send them?

Yes, send them.

Three reminders sent.

Drop it all in the document box.

Receipts, vendor invoices, bank statements: drag the whole pile into the portal. Then ask your assistant to deal with it.

Can you attach these receipts to the right expenses, and tell me if anything is missing?

Or email them in

Forward any receipt or invoice to your private Caribooks address. It lands in this same document box, exactly as if you had dropped it.

Loops

Write a recurring task once, in a sentence. Caribooks reads it back to you, then runs it on the schedule you set. Every loop starts in preview mode: it proposes each change and waits for your approval.

Rules

Say once how your books are kept, and every loop and every chat applies it from then on. When a loop notices a habit of yours, it proposes a rule. Nothing applies until you approve it.

Vendor portals

Some invoices never reach your inbox: they sit behind a login. Sign in once. Caribooks keeps the session, then goes back on its own every week, month or quarter, finds the billing page and brings the new PDFs to your document box. It asks you again only if the vendor requires a fresh sign-in.

Your ledger stays in QuickBooks. What Caribooks stores depends on the features you use.

“What do you keep?”

The connector reads QuickBooks live without keeping a synchronized copy of your ledger. We retain account and connection details, usage records and saved rules. If you use the document box, we store files and extracted text. Autopilot also stores conversations, proposals and history that can contain QuickBooks data. If you connect a vendor portal, our hosted-browser provider keeps its sign-in session so invoices can be collected again. Our privacy policy explains retention and AI providers.

“Does Claude train on my books?”

Anthropic excludes raw MCP connector responses from training. If that information is copied into a conversation, it may be covered by the training rules for that conversation. Check Anthropic’s policy and your account settings.

“What about ChatGPT?”

How OpenAI handles your conversation and connector data depends on your plan, data controls and any feedback you submit. Check OpenAI’s current policy and your account settings before sharing sensitive information.

OpenAI's policy

“Who can write to my books?”

No one, until you enable write access, company by company. Every delete requires a confirmation.

“How is this different from the official QuickBooks connector?”

The official connector handles the sales side: invoices, estimates, payment links, customers, plus a profit and loss and a cash flow statement. That is where it stops, and Intuit says as much in its own documentation. Caribooks reaches the rest of the ledger: balance sheet, trial balance, general ledger, receivables and payables aging, vendor bills, expenses, journal entries. Thirty-five reports, across as many company files as you connect. Intuit does publish a developer version that goes deeper, but it runs on your own machine and wants an Intuit developer app and an OAuth callback before it will start. Caribooks gives you that depth with the one-click setup.
